Tips of Bathroom Storage and Organization

As living spaces become increasingly scarce and expensive, space planning must be rational. Maintain a balance between functionality and aesthetic expression to enhance creativity in smaller spaces.

There's no denying that bathrooms are a high-traffic area that can easily become cluttered. To help organize your bathroom, here are some tips s for nearly any design and layout.

01.  Add a Shelving Unit

Adding a shelving unit is a great way to add storage space to any bathroom. One can either buy a pre-made unit or build custom open shelves. Doing it yourself allows for more customization and the ability to match the shelves with the home decor. When choosing a shelving unit, make sure it is the right size and style for the bathroom.

02.  Add a Tiered Organizer

A tiered organizer is a great addition to any bathroom with extra floor space. Rolling carts are a great option as they are easily mobile, and top levels can be stocked with items used regularly while the bottom can be used to store items used less frequently. A smaller tiered tray is also a good option for storage on the bathroom counter.

03.  Attach Everyday Makeup to the Wall

Attaching everyday makeup to the wall is a great way to save space and keep your bathroom organized. You can use an adjustable shelf or wall hook and storage basket for this purpose.

It is better to drill small holes for a patch job. This is cleaner than using stick-on organizers.

These organizers can damage the wall underneath. This will make it easier to remove the organizer in the future. Additionally, make sure to choose a spot that is easily accessible and not in the way of other bathroom activities.

04.  Create a Corner for Dirty and Clean Clothes

Bathrooms are easier to keep clean and organized when there's a spot for everything. Designate a small spot for a hamper, if possible.

This prevents clothes and wet towels from ending up in a pile on the floor. To save space, you can roll some clean towels and store them on top of the hamper. Just be sure to keep them neat for a spa-like appearance.

05.  Lean a Ladder for Towel Storage

Hanging towels in a bathroom is easy. Add some hooks or a towel bar to the wall. However, many designers also incorporate ladders into modern bathrooms for hanging towel storage that maximizes vertical space. Plus, you can hang hooks and baskets from a ladder to store washcloths and other toiletries.
